Yes, you are right! You are heard right. Google plus will be shutting down due some reasons. Can you guess anything why it happened? I think no one can guess because of its google personal reason or due to some true drawbacks behind this issue. So firstly take back up of your account uploaded data and other important images and information or data instantly. Other wise your data will automatically deleted not only data but also delete whole account. So take backup as possible soon. Google announced in December 2018 that google plus will shutting down on 2nd April 2019. New users were stopped to create new profiles from 4 January 2019. 
According to google announcement main reason to shut down google plus is

 " Due to low usage and challenges the involving maintaining a successful product that meets consumers expectations."

Changes will not affected to other services like google, G-mail etc. Will remains as it is. So after 4 th April we will never see Google plus. No more google plus.
